Day of Departure

After almost a year of planning,  the day of departure has arrived.  Our flight leaves tonight at 7:50 PM.  We’ll be landing in Munich tomorrow and flying over to Rome.  We’ll spend 3 nights there before heading down to Tuscany for a week.  From there we’ll drive to Switzerland for another week, with a side trip by train to Paris for two nights.  The whole trip encompasses Aug. 5 – Aug. 28.  I’m not sure what my access will be to a computer or how easily I’ll be able to upload pictures, but I’ll try my best.

Time to get off here now for final preparations.  Got my 5:30 AM run in this morning which was good.  I’m a little worried about my training schedule for Chicago Marathon in October.  I doubt I’ll be able to train over there the way I should.  But, who knows!  Hopefully, you’ll be hearing from me from Rome soon.  Caio.

I am so jealous. And am I the only geek having trouble with the black background? When you are in Paris, speak French, mon ami.

    Hey Billy,
Have a great trip!! Sounds like a lot of fun. Look for a road race while you are there. It would be pretty cool getting one of their shirts.

Hi Billy—Went over to visit Tinkerbell. She is fine. When I went in I sat on the floor and she sniffed at me for a while. I tried to give her some treats, but she wasn’t interested, but when I got the brush out, she was purring and rolling all over the floor. We got a lot of rain today. Not good for business. Enjoying the blog!!! Susan

Hi Billy, Went over again to visit my niece Tinkerbell. Got the brush and comb out and groomed her for 20 minutes. Today, (Sunday) is sunny so far. We have had a lot of rain. I will go over later to see Tinkerbell. Sounds like your trip is going great. I can’t wait to see your pictures. Say hi to Sue-Sue and Bert for us. Susan

    Hi Billy,
I knew you should have taken me as soon as I heard about your fall! But I would never be able to stand that heat. Too many hot flashes. Hope you’re not jogging in it. Sounds like the trip of a lifetime. Enjoy! Susie
